Design process

Tracing paper on a light table.

  1. 01

    Research

Listen until the problem has edges.

  2. 02

    Think

    Remove until only structure remains.

  3. 03

    Prototype

Test the weight of the idea in the hand.

  4. 04

    Build

Join materials with intention, not haste.

  5. 05

    Refine

Leave silence where decoration once was.

Writing
March 2026

On removing the map

I deleted the navigation twice. The third time, I left it gone. Orientation returned through rhythm, not menus.

January 2026

Reduce by half

When a screen feels unfinished, I do not add. I cut until the remaining elements can stand alone in the light.

October 2025

Latency as material

Delay is not only a metric. It is a texture the body feels before the mind names it. Build for that first.

July 2025

The loud draft

The first version always shouts. The work is teaching it to speak at the volume of the room it will live in.

April 2025

Paper before pixels

I still begin on paper. Graphite has no autocomplete. It forces the hand to mean every line.

Let's build quietly.
